MUDGEE WINE ASSOCIATION TASTING PROTOCOL:

Welcome to the Mudgee Wine Region! We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay and that you get the most out of your visit to our cellar doors

There are a few things to remember as you go around to the tasting rooms.

  1. The most important thing is that we want you to have a good time enjoying our wine, meeting friendly people and seeing our beautiful spaces.

  2. The wine tastings are provided as a sample of wines available for sale. The tastings should not be considered a free drink but rather a demonstration ofthe winemaker’s skill. You might find some wines hard to find in shops back home so please consider buying the wines you like to take home with you.

  3. For groups of 8 or more, many cellar doors require you to call ahead and make a prior booking. This is so we can best accommodate all visitors – large and small groups alike. This is applicable to both organised tour groups and private groups.

  4. Please be aware that 5 tastings at 30ml each will be between 1 and 2standard drinks, so don’t be afraid to use the spittoons or even better have a designated driver arranged before you start tasting.

  5. The tasting rooms are licensed premises, and we rely on those licenses to make a living thus take the following very seriously

    1. Wine tasting is for people over the age of 18 only. Please be prepared to show ID for proof of age.

    2. Visitors may not bring alcohol purchased elsewhere to the tasting rooms.

    3. Please consider your consumption of alcohol between wineries as well as others in your group. Look out for your mates!

    4. If you present at a tasting room in an intoxicated state, you may be offered water or refused service and asked to leave. If you are asked to leave it is a legal requirement to do so.

    5. If anyone if your group supplies alcohol to someone who has been refused service, then your entire group will be asked to leave.

    6. Visitors who are rude or otherwise disrupt other customers may be refused service and asked to leave.
